John Gray as always with his writing, has come through with another great story but not just a story, a story with a wonderful life lesson which is something we seldom see these days. I guarantee anyone who reads this book will love it and also want to read John's first book "God Needed A Puppy" Kudos to Shanna Brikell who has done wonderful illustrations in both books and really brought John's babies to life in the pages. These are not only great books for kids but I believe adults can take away some lessons from them too.
Loved reading the new book by John Gray, who writes with the same heart he lives by. John's gift in writing this book is to show children that we all have differences and are no less loveable because of any real or perceived deficiency. John has a wonderful way of writing a simple story with an important message which even a young child can understand. Looking forward to many more books by Mr. Gray.
The second book written by John Gray and illustrated by Shanna Brickell. This story is about unconditional love and destiny. This remarkable connection is between a misunderstood deaf girl and an abandoned deaf and blind pup that destiny brought together. Despite their handicaps it didn't prevent them from feeling loved or recognizing love. I loved this book too!
John Gray is a very talented journalist/author and this is a beautifully written story for any age. The illustrator, Shanna Brickell, brings the story to life. I am 58 years old and this story brought me to tears. We all need to remember that everyone should be loved and accepted for who they are, no matter what differences they may have. I highly recommend purchasing this book!!!!!
I loved this book and the beautiful story that it tells. The real Keller has the love and support of thousands of people. The Keller in the story does not disappoint. Everyone who reads this book will fall in love with this very special boy.
Another book by John Gray illustrated by Shanna Brickell teaching children and adults the lessons of kindness, love and caring overcoming cruelty and cold hardheartedness. Keller didn't have a chance, cruelly thrown on a highway to die quickly. A blind and deaf puppy, except he didn't die thanks to many kind people who helped him along his way to his family of sighted and hearing dogs who would protect him from all harm and to loving parents who would tell his story to help other handicapped pets.This is a wonderful story every child and adult should read and take in the lessons to be learned from it.
The message of this book is so timely, especially in the judgmental and unhappy world we seem to live in. John has written another lovely book, and Shanna’s illustrations are dreamlike, yet so real. Many thanks to them both for such a beautiful book. I can’t recomend it enough. (Why aren’t there ten stars?)
