I have been struggling with anxiety and panic attacks for half my life. Being able to read another's account of struggle was an unexpected relief. Those who experience anxiety or panic attacks would readily tell you how alone and misunderstood they feel. The simple fact that you know you are not alone lifts a mountain of weight of your shoulders, so to speak. I am grateful for this honest, raw, endearing book and the author should be commended for having the courage and tremendous skill to put those crippling moments on paper. It is a great thing to be able to learn from your own experiences and more so, to impart your helpful findings to others. The tips in the book are very practical and the book overflows with positive reassurance and hope; the very two vital things a person struggling with anxiety needs. I highly recommend this book! If it helped me, it will do the same for you.

This a good read for anyone suffering from anxiety. The author helps us to understand the struggle to gain control over anxiety and worry through the backdrop of his own traumas. A victim of an armed robbery, he struggled to overcome the memories of that incident and the resultant fears that developed. Over time he was able to develop an understanding of his thought process and physical reactions and gain control over both. He developed a system that worked for him. This system is chocked full of wisdom and practical solutions that the reader can implement into their daily routine.The author gives us some encouraging words. "Bad things do happen to good people. The difference is not to let it define you. Accept the situation and find ways to make a positive response to what has happened." ; "I live to learn." (Chapter: The power of Resilience."

Remarkably well-written book. The author does an amazing job to show his raw feelings and vulnerability. Even though he isn't "an expert" on the subject of anxiety with a diploma, when you read his book, you understand the anxiety as if from your own point of view. Then he offers many interesting facts and it is clear that Mr. Moss did an extensive research on the subject. He offers well-organized way out of the darkness of despair. It is far better to read his book than a book from some psychiatrist because he understands the suffering on an elemental level. If you find yourself reading this review, do yourself a favor and read this book.

Personally, I don't suffer from anxiety, but I know a handful of people who do. That's why I wanted to read this book--to see if I could get a taste of what life looks like from the eyes of a person who lives with anxiety. Moss delivered! He bares all in this book, and in so doing, provides writing that people can relate to, while also giving practical solutions for how to overcome anxiety. One of my favorite parts of the book, although it may be considered morbid, is the obituary part. There is great wisdom in looking to the end of your life and trying to think what you want your life to have been. In fact, I give similar advice to people because it's such a helpful exercise.The reason I give this book a 4, rather than a 5, is because it is admittedly a bit rough around the edges (formatting, grammar). Overall though, Moss has written a raw, practical, and very useful book. I am confident it will give many people hope.

The author shares his own crippling experience with anxiety and offers several methods for overcoming it. It's a story of resilience and facing great challenges. If you have suffered from anxiety and feel utterly alone, this book will show that you are not. It will also offer you a path for moving forward. This is a very heart-felt book from a first-time author. I usually review business books and feel the text/formatting could be tightened up a bit. (Love the cover!) That said, the message is clear and there is definitely an audience who needs to read this book.

This is a very courageous book in which the author bares his soul for the benefit of those who suffer as he did. I don’t experience anxiety myself, but I bought the book for an insight into how that feels and what can be done about it. I found it very practical and very compelling – the author understands the topic inside out – and I’ve recommended it to a couple of people close to me who battle with anxiety. It’s a book full of compassion, hope and realistic, tried and tested advice.

With transparency and honesty the author shows the reader a way out of crippling anxiety.After all, if he could do that, then it must be doable.The many really practical and helpful examples, tools and lessons are a blessing to those trapped in the negative spiral of being trapped in something that feels out of your control.This is real help and highly recommended.Hope is everything, and this book offers more than just hope.
