Pretty. Slightly bigger than I thought, but church is a brand new thing for us, along with anything that goes with it, including bibles and bible covers, so this may have just been my understanding of it, so no stars taken for that. I just didn’t give it a 5 star review because while it’s exactly as pictured and seems to be fairly sturdy, it doesn’t feel like it’ll hold up long term. However, for the money, it’s a great deal, and I would absolutely recommend it for someone needing a cover for the first time. If it’s someone looking for an upgrade though, then this wouldn’t be the best bet.
Medium cover fits my medium size Bible (‘book’ size dimensions in description) perfectly when flaps are tucked into the cover’s front and back sleeves (cover front/back/spine are sturdy/reinforced and not slack/bendable and holds the Bible’s soft cover nice and secure inside without it shifting). The cover/Bible opens flat and has two pen holders, one on the inside of each side of cover. And love the handle that slides flat when open. The color is a deep/dark, more of an earthy/vintage leather-like purple; even better than the stock photos! Beautiful (more matte) finish, high quality craftsmanship, great price!
The case itself is nice made of a tough material. The zipper has no problems doing its job. The handle is well built for a hardcover bible weight. If you are buying this for the life application study bible make sure to get the medium size it will be a little bit to big but I loved the purple so i had to have it. There is 2 slots for pens or a small highlighter on either side. And you could also slide papers into the slot where the book cover goes. Buy it if you love it!
I was supposed to get a medium, this is a little bigger for a medium sized bible. This bible cover is quite nice though, with the pen loops and the handle and zipper. It is very elegant with the dark stain design.
